The Manu National Park, considered one of the largest and richest natural reserves in the world, which allows intimate contact with nature in its most primitive and wild state.
Get ready for an extraordinary journey into the deepest Amazon jungle, Manu, feel and imagine exploring the tributaries of the great Amazon River. Spending days walking through the great vegetation of the primary forest, exploring in small canoes observing the large reptiles, felines, exotic birds of the Amazon, fishing piranhas and watching closely original tribes.

DAY 01: LODGE IN THE CLOUD FOREST

  • Early in the morning I pick up from your Hotel, to start our trip through Andean mountains, beautiful landscapes, rural folk communities such as Paucartambo and Ninamarca (chullpas or funeral tombs) that belong to the pre-Inca LUPACAS culture.
  •  Then we climb the last mountain to reach Acjanaco, entrance to the MANU NATIONAL PARK, from where we descend to the lush cloud forest which houses a wide variety of flora and fauna. Being an ideal place of epiphytes, orchids, broméelas, etc.
  • It is there where we will explore the cloud forest and we can appreciate the National bird of Peru, the colorful Gallito de las Rocas in its ritual mating dance, as well as toucans, trogons, quetzals, monkeys and hopefully the spectacled bear of South America (Tremantus ornaments ).
  • Continuing our excursion of the day, we go to the valley of Patria, Pilcopata small towns in the Amazon and then to the expected tourist port of Aatalaya, it is there where our motorized boat awaits us to drive us along the Madre de Dios river towards the Eco hostel Manu To spend the night in our comfortable rooms, dinner and free time to enjoy some cold drinks.
  • Swimming and fishing in the rivers and using the hammocks in the lodge is free and safe for all customers.

DAY 02: ECOMANU LODGE

  • In the morning we wake up under the song of the birds and the lush Amazon rainforest, it is time to enjoy our healthy breakfast to explore the lush Amazon forest through the different paths and appreciate the giant rubber trees, fools, ficus, which They house groups of Capuchin monkeys, woolly monkeys, howler monkeys and dozens of bird species such as colorful parrots, parrots, carpenters, etc.
  • In the afternoon we go to the mammalian colpa, a very special place in the Amazon rainforest. After 35 minutes walking in the woods we will arrive at the hiding place and as the day turns into darkness it begins a truly fascinating and unforgettable new experience in which you will be completely in the Amazon world.
  • The hiding place is a wooden platform more than 4 meters high, it is perfectly camouflaged among the trees located in front of the mammalian colpa, there we will observe the mythical Amazon tapir, peccaries, deer and hopefully the largest feline in South America Jaguar ( Panther onca). The observation deck includes mosquito netting mats to wait until the arrival of mammals.
  • The walks or nocturnal activities are possible every night, which will be available and organized by our guides. Night in our comfortable EcoManu lodge

 DAY 03: ECOMANU LODGE

  • Very early in the morning we board our boat to go to the small colpa (clay wall with mineral salts content) very important of the place, where many noisy parrots, parrots and small macaws or green parrots ingest the clay as a final diet for detoxification . After this fantastic show, we will enjoy our healthy breakfast on site. Following our expedition in the Amazon we will go to the important cocha or Machu wasi lagoon, with the help of the telescope we will observe a great variety of lake birds such as herons, hawks, ducks, hoatzins, orioles, capybara families (the largest rodent of the world) and hopefully an impression on anaconda or boa. In the afternoon we will enjoy the tropical waters (swimming and fishing)
  • At night we can have a short walk along the river, entering a little inside the forest to find small abandoned lakes full of vegetation. Here we can find one of the largest reptiles in the Amazon. Our search begins with the preparation of our lamps and lighthouses to look for the red eyes of the alligators and with the help of our guide we will closely observe these impressive reptiles.
  • Our last night in the jungle

 DAY 04: ECOMANU LODGE – CUSCO CITY

  • Very early in the boat and bus back to San Pedro again to appreciate once again the famous Gallitos de las roca, continuing our return to the ancient capital of the Incas Cusco, and we arrive at 17:00 p.m. approx.
